A change from the normal today, still a walk but no mud and no breakfast though, as today we took part in a charity fundraising walk was to celebrate 10 years since Tilly’s life saving liver transplant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
The event started at Wincanton Memorial Hall and enabled those attending to walk either 2km or 5 km routes followed by a coffee morning style reception including a prize raffle. Throughout the month Charlotte, Tilly and Amy have been completing their 10,000 steps each day, raising funds online for BCH.
Over 100 friends, neighbours and family took part with many also provided scrumptious cakes for afters. A good selection of raffle prizes were donated to make it a most successful morning.
Thankfully the weather was kind to us and stayed dry and bright throughout the morning.
The total on their justgiving page currently stands at £1585 which is outstanding.
